Football Coach Organisation Millfield School Salary £21.42 per hour Location Street, Somerset Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 6 July 2026 Job Description Millfield School is seeking an experienced and motivated Football Coach to join our team on a fixed-term basis from September 2026 to March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established and high-performing football programme.Job Responsibilities• Deliver high-quality, engaging football coaching sessions across the school’s sports programme• Support the planning, preparation and communication of the football programme alongside the Head of Football• Develop and document individual and squad session plans, ensuring structured player development• Lead and manage a school team as required, including attending fixtures and competitions (home and away)• Support players in preparing for and reviewing competitions to inform ongoing development• Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and operational procedures are adhered to• Prepare and maintain equipment and facilities to support effective session deliveryAbout You• FA Level 2 coaching qualification (essential)• FA Level 3/UEFA B or higher (desirable)• Minimum of three years’ experience coaching youth sport, ideally within a school or club setting• Strong understanding of player development pathways• Confident leading teams and delivering competitive opportunities• Excellent communication and organisational skills• Enthusiastic, proactive and committed to continuous professional developmentWorking Hours & Salary• Fixed-term contract from 07 September 2026 until 25 March 2027• 12 hours per week (term time only): o Monday: 4.00–6.00pmo Wednesday: 12.00–5.00pmo Saturday: 12.00–5.00pm• £21.42 per hour (total contract value: £6,168.04)Benefits• Discounted freshly prepared lunches for only £10.30 per month• Free access to a range of excellent school facilities• Employee Assistance Programme including discounts and cashback at high street retailers and restaurantsApplication closing date: 6th July**Please note that applications will be considered on receipt, and as a result the vacancy may close early should an appointment be made.
