Fencing Coach Organisation Millfield School Salary £21.42 per hour Location Street, Somerset Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 1 April 2026 Job Description Millfield School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fencing Coach to join our coaching team on a fixed-term basis for a two-week period from 1 May 2026, to cover paternity leave.As part of our specialist fencing programme, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality coaching to individual athletes, working closely with our wider performance support teams, including athletic development, psychology and performance analysis.Millfield is committed to providing exceptional sporting opportunities for pupils aged 5–18, regardless of experience or ability. Our renowned fencing programme includes specialist coaches across all three disciplines and is supported by outstanding facilities, including a purpose-built Fencing Salle with eight training pistes, each equipped with in-built scoring boxes and lighting.The successful candidate will ideally hold a Level 3 British Fencing Coaching qualification (Épée preferred, although other disciplines and qualification levels will be considered), be a current member of British Fencing, and be up to date on the British Fencing Coaching Register.Previous experience coaching fencing within a school environment is essential.This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays across the two‑week fixed‑term period. The rate of pay is £21.42 per hour, plus statutory holiday pay.The closing date for applications is noon on the 1st April but please note that applications will be considered on receipt, and as a result the vacancy may close early should an appointment be made.
