Job Description
Millfield School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Heavy Throws Coach to support our athletics programme.

This part-time role supports the Lead Throws Coach with heavy throw provision for 4 hours per week during term time, working with student-athletes across a range of ages and abilities. The coach will play a vital role in nurturing technical skill, discipline, and a passion for throws within one of the UK’s leading independent schools for sport.

We are seeking someone with a strong coaching background in the heavy throws disciplines, ideally holding a recognised qualification such as a UKA coaching award. You will be passionate about youth sport, have excellent communication skills, and be confident in creating a supportive and engaging environment that encourages athletes to excel.

This is a term-time only role paid at £30 per hour (inclusive of statutory holiday pay), equating to an annual salary of £3,960. You will also receive an array of staff benefits including freshly prepared lunches for only £10.30 per month, and discounts/cashback on high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.
