This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the community while developing your coaching and childcare experience.Zero hour contractDutiesPlan and deliver structured multi-sport holiday camp sessions for children aged 5–16Lead a variety of activities such as football, basketball, dodgeball, fitness games, and team challenges to keep participants engaged throughout the dayAdapt activities to suit different age groups, abilities, and energy levels across full-day camp settingsSupervise children throughout the day, including arrival, breaks, lunch periods, and structured sessionsPromote positive behaviour and manage group dynamics to ensure a safe and respectful environmentProvide mentorship and encouragement to support children’s confidence, social skills, and overall wellbeingEnsure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all timesWork as part of a team to deliver themed days, competitions, and end-of-week celebrationsMaintain accurate registers, incident reports, and daily feedback where requiredCommunicate effectively with parents/carers during drop-off and collectionQualificationsExperience in sports coaching, youth work, or holiday camp deliveryPassion for working with children and young people in a fun, active environmentStrong understanding of behaviour management and safeguardingAbility to lead engaging sessions for mixed ability groupsGood communication and teamwork skillsRelevant coaching qualifications (e.g. football badges or multi-sport coaching) are desirableFirst Aid certification is desirableEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Experience delivering holiday camps or working in childcare settings is an advantageBenefitsFlexible working during school holidaysOpportunity for repeat work across multiple holiday periodsOn-site parking (where available)Valuable experience in community sports and youth developmentOpportunity to progress into regular coaching or programme leadership roles How to apply email me your cv Share X LinkedIn Email
