Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Sports Management to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College.

Loughborough College is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Lecturer in Sports Management to join our forward-thinking Higher Education Sport Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the next generation of sports industry professionals and contribute to the continued success of one of the UK’s leading institutions for sport education.

Responsibilities of this role include;

Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of undergraduate modules in Sports Management.

Support students in developing industry-ready skills through real-world projects, case studies, and applied learning.

Develop and assess student learning through innovative teaching practices and applied learning strategies.

Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our Sports Management curriculum.

Provide academic support to students, promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Build and maintain industry links to enhance student experience and employability opportunities.

Essential Requirements:

A master’s degree (MSc) in Sports Management or a closely related discipline (e.g. Sport Business, Sport Marketing).

Demonstrable experience in an applied sports industry setting (e.g. professional clubs, governing bodies, event management, sport marketing).

A passion for education and the ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to continued professional development and a passion for education.

Desirable:

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.

Experience of teaching in higher education and designing/assessing academic content.

An active interest in research or industry engagement within the field of management.
