We bring together university athletics clubs to deliver competitions, support student leaders, and strengthen the university athletics community.LUCA’s work includes cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field fixtures, club development, and wider initiatives designed to make student athletics more connected, inclusive and sustainable.About the roleThe Cross Country Competition Lead chairs the Cross Country Delivery Committee and leads the planning and delivery of the LUCA Cross Country League and LUCA Cross Country Relays.They are responsible for overseeing all Cross Country fixtures across the season, ensuring competitions are well-organised, fair, financially viable, and aligned with LUCA’s strategic objectives.This is a senior operational leadership role within LUCA.The Cross Country Chair:Oversees the entire Cross Country League calendarChairs the Cross Country CommitteeCoordinates race fixtures, league structure, and deliveryEnsures competitions are delivered in line with operational and sporting rulesThey do not work alone, they build and lead the Cross Country Delivery Committee to deliver the season.Person specEssentialStrong organisational and coordination skillsConfident leading meetings and delegating responsibilitiesAbility to oversee multiple fixtures across a seasonGood understanding of cross country competition structuresStrong communication skillsDesirableExperience in cross country or endurance sportPrevious committee or leadership experienceExperience coordinating volunteers or eventsInterest in sport governance or event managementFull role description on our website How to apply https://www.london-athletics.com/jobs-listing/ Share X LinkedIn Email
