Job Description
Role Overview:
The London Broncos Foundation is the Charitable Foundation of the London Broncos Rugby League Football Club, and operates in partnership with the RFL and the London Junior League.

The Trustee responsible for Fundraising will lead all charitable fundraising activity for the London Broncos Foundation, reporting to the Chairman and the Board of Trustees. The aim of this activity is to increase the income generation of the Foundation, across a variety of areas and in a variety of ways appropriate to the Foundation. Such Fundraising is to enable the Foundation to further build on its mission to grow and support Community Development of rugby league, and other beneficial health related activities, across London & South-East, and will help secure the long-term financial sustainability of the Foundation.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead all charitable fundraising activity for the Foundation. Such activity could include but is not limited to organising and growing fundraising events, overseeing and growing the Foundation’s existing Lottery scheme, promoting and overseeing individual fundraising activity and building on the existing charitable donations.
• Support the development, monitoring, and review of fundraising plans and income targets, and report to the Board as required.
• Build strong networks and relationships around the Foundation to help with overall fundraising activity. This could include Community Club Members, London Broncos Fans, or the large number of stakeholders the Foundation and Club engage with.
• Use personal networks, where appropriate, to support fundraising, partnerships, sponsorship, and donations.
• Engage in the development of CSR initiatives with Corporates, Local Authorities and other Institutional Bodies for the Foundation.
• Advise and support on bidding for grants for the delivery of appropriate projects by the Foundation
• Champion fundraising across the Board, encouraging Trustee engagement.
• Help provide overall Strategic Direction and Oversight to the Foundation as a Board Trustee. This would involve attending regular Board meetings and contributing to the ongoing decision making of the Board.

Person Specification
• Experience of Overseeing and Driving Fundraising Activity in the Charitable Sector. This could be within or outside of Sport and Youth Development.
• Strong networks that could be beneficial to the Foundation.
• Commitment to the values, mission, and objectives of the London Broncos Foundation and a willingness to act as an Ambassador of the Foundation.
• Strategic thinking and good governance skills, with an ability to scrutinise fundraising plans and performance at a strategic level.
• Understanding of the role and legal responsibilities of a Charity Trustee.
