Job Description

Lions Sports Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Field Hockey Coach to join our growing coaching network and work within one of our partner environments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hockey coach looking to develop players, deliver high-quality sessions and become part of a professional and supportive sporting environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Field Hockey coaching sessions
• Coach players across a range of ages and ability levels
• Support player development in technical, tactical and game-based skills
• Lead and support teams during fixtures and competitive matches
• Officiate matches where required
• Work closely with other coaches and sports staff
• Create a positive, enjoyable and challenging environment for all players
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality and behaviour
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and positive sporting values

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
• Strong background in Field Hockey, either through coaching or playing experience
• Previous experience coaching children or young people is highly desirable
• Relevant hockey or sports coaching qualifications are desirable
• Good technical and tactical knowledge of the game
• Confident delivering sessions independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organised and professional
• Passionate about developing young players and creating positive sporting experiences
• Enhanced DBS and relevant safeguarding qualifications desirable, although Lions Sports Academy can support suitable candidates through the required compliance process
