The Marketing Manager will develop marketing strategies and execute campaigns to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support commercial growth while ensuring alignment with our ‘Hubs of the Community’ 5-year strategy. This role requires a creative, strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and hands on ability to deliver marketing campaigns, manage digital presence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMarketing Strategy & CampaignsDevelop and implement scalable marketing plans to promote the hub sites, events and programmes that drives demand and awareness of our products and services in our key business areas.Plan and execute events and promotions to engage customers and attract new audiences.Lead, manage and deliver digital and traditional marketing campaigns, including social media, email, website content, and advertising.Maintain a consistent brand identity across all marketing channels, ensuring alignment with Leisure United’s Strategy.Content Creation & DigitalCreate content for social media platforms, website, and other marketing channels to engage our target audiences.Work with teams across our sites to develop personalisation strategies to segment the users to then create digital campaigns.Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.Coordinate, oversee and deliver digital marketing campaigns, including implementation of SEO, PPC, and social media advertising.Develop our digital customer journey, from enquiry through to sale and beyond.Partnerships & Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with the operational team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that drive participation and revenue.Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, sponsors, and partners to enhance the hub’s visibility and reputation.Provide training and support to hub site General Managers to successfully execute plans locally.Lead the activation of new brand partnerships.Ensure that the services that you provide to our customers and our partner agencies is the best that it can be.Foster relationships with suppliers, agencies and media partners to support the delivery of marketing outcomes.Performance Analysis & Budget ManagementUndertake data analysis on the customer base to understand and map location, profile, and identify potential opportunities for attracting new audiences.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data and analytics to make informed decisions.Analyse website performance and take any necessary remedial action using different tools (such as google analytics, google cloud, MC clarity and Power BI).Continually look for ways to get the job done better and more efficiently. Ensure that you maintain effective control of expenditure and advise the Chief Operating Officer whenever there’s a better value alternative.Provide regular updates on all marketing activities taking place within and outside of LU to the Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders.PERSON SPECIFICATIONA relevant degree, professional qualification or relevant experience in marketing.Minimum 3 years hands on experience of delivering engaging and innovative marketing campaigns which deliver clear outcomes/results.Strong understanding of brand development, PR, digital marketing, social media and content creation.Experience of commissioning, briefing and managing the work of designers, photographers and other marketing professionals.Proven ability to plan and budget and produce a range of diverse marketing campaigns.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Creative and strategic thinker capable of developing innovative marketing campaigns.Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to write for various audiences across multiple channels including B2C digital communication, stakeholder presentations, reports and press releases.Proficiency in marketing analytics and tools to measure campaign performance.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Self-motivated and capable of working independently to a high standard.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.Commitment to collaboration, corporate working, and organisational values.Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.Ability to recognise opportunities for improvement both in marketing product delivery and people that you work with.WHY JOIN US?We are a community of like minded, passionate people who believe that everyone from every corner of the business can make a worthwhile impact.
