Lead Pathways Strength & Conditioning Coach Organisation Leigh Leoprads Salary Dependant on Expereince Location Leigh Sports Village WN7 4JY Contract type (Part time) Closing date 30 April 2026 Job Description Leigh Leopards are seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable Strength & Conditioning coach to lead the Strength & Conditioning programme across our Reserves, Academy & Scholarship squads.Job Title: Lead Pathways Strength & Conditioning CoachLocation: Leigh Sports Village, Sale Way, Leigh, WN7 4JYHome & Away GamesSalary: Dependant on ExpereinceContract Type: Part TimeStart Date: Immediate startHours:Monday – Thursday evening training ranging from 4:30pm – 9pmReserves fixtures – Saturday afternoonsAcademy fixtures – Mainly Saturday afternoons with some Wednesday eveningsScholarship fixtures – Wednesday eveningsRoles & Responsibilities:• Plan and deliver age-appropriate strength and conditioning programs for pathways rugby league players (reserves, academy & scholarship)• Develop physical qualities including strength, speed, power, mobility and endurance• Integrate rugby league specific conditioning into training plans• Monitor and support the athletic development of players via performance testing• Educate players on movement quality, technique and safe lifting practices• Provide individual feedback and progression for players• Implement injury prevention strategies• Lead on field warmups and activation• Design and deliver rugby specific conditioning, speed and agility drills• Work closely with medical/physio staff to support injured players return to play• Conduct regular fitness testing• Track and analyse player testing data to inform training adjustments• Work alongside rugby coaches to align physical development with technical/tactical training• Attend meetings, match days and training sessions as required• Uphold club values, professionalism and high coaching standards• Promote recovery, nutrition and sleep habitsPerson Specification:• BSc Strength and Conditioning/Sport Science qualification or equivalent (MSc Desirable)• Hold or working towards UKSCA/CSCS accreditation• Experience delivering Strength & Conditioning provision to youth athletes in a sporting environment (rugby league desirable)• Appropriate knowledge and ability to programme strength, speed and agility• Experience delivering performance testing• Organisational and time management skills• Communication and strong interpersonal skills• A desire to work with and develop elite youth rugby league players• Ability to gain enhanced DBS certificate• Reside close to training ground How to apply To apply, please send your full CV and one page cover letter via email to Kane Daniels (Head of Performance) - performance.leopards@gmail.com Interviews will take place throughout the vacancy period Share X LinkedIn Email
