Lancashire FA is seeking an ambitious and driven Head of Facilities & Investment to lead the development and delivery of football facilities investment across the county.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of grassroots football facilities in Lancashire, securing investment that creates high quality, sustainable and accessible environments for communities across the game.

The successful candidate will lead Lancashire FA’s facilities and investment work, driving the delivery of the Lancashire FA Football Facilities Strategy 2026–2036 to create a sustainable, inclusive and high-quality network of football facilities across the county. Working closely with key partners including the Football Foundation, Local Authorities, leagues, clubs and wider stakeholders, the role will maximise investment opportunities and deliver meaningful community impact, while also supporting the delivery of Local Football Facility Plans, Playing Pitch Strategies and wider football development priorities across Lancashire.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with a strong understanding of grassroots football development, sports facility investment and partnership working. You will bring experience of leading strategic projects, managing teams and influencing stakeholders, alongside excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Strong local knowledge would be highly advantageous, particularly an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing communities, facilities and grassroots football across Lancashire.

This is a full time, two-year fixed term contract based at Lancashire FA headquarters in Leyland, with opportunities for hybrid working and regular travel across Lancashire. The role involves some evening and weekend work and attracts a competitive salary of £35-£38k, dependent on experience, along with extensive benefits.

Next Steps
Lancashire FA is now entering the third year of its ambitious four-year strategy, making this an exciting time to join an organisation that is values-led, forward thinking and committed to delivering positive change through football.

Please review the recruitment pack, including the full job description and person specification, before submitting your application.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 14th June, with interviews scheduled to take place later in June 2026.

However, all applications must accurately reflect the applicant’s own skills, knowledge, experience and suitability for the role. Applications found to contain misleading, inaccurate or non-authentic information may be withdrawn from the recruitment process. Candidates should be prepared to discuss all aspects of their application, in detail, at interview.

Lancashire FA is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We actively welcome applications from individuals across our under-represented communities to help ensure our workforce reflects the diversity of Lancashire’s football community. All applications will be anonymised before shortlisting.

In addition, and to help us with our efforts to understand who is applying for roles at Lancashire FA, from an equality progress perspective, we would be grateful if, when you apply, you would also complete our confidential demographic data information form. This is entirely unrelated to your main application, is anonymous and non-mandatory, and is purely used by Lancashire FA for equality monitoring purposes. We are very grateful for all responses received. You can access this form here: bit.ly/3nWrYhy

We look forward to receiving your application.
