Job Description
MEDICAL AND PERFORMANCE SUPPORT OFFICER
DEPARTMENT: Medical and Performance Teams
REPORTS TO: Head of Medicine
BASED Hybrid working, based out of one of the team bases (London, Manchester or Lyndhurst, nr Southampton) with national and international travel when required.
HOURS OF WORK: Full time, start date latest 1 September 2025, contract anticipated to run to 1 December 2026.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO THE TEAM

The Medical and Performance Support Officer is a key member of our Medical Team. This role delivers world class performance-focused operational support to the medical team, including project management, and rider medical and performance activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

MEDICAL SUPPORT
 Collation of weekly & monthly medical reports
 Management of the medical database including how it functions, set up, inoutting of bloods results and other results uploads
 Co-ordination of the regular medical team meetings
 Monitoring of medical supplies, race packing requirements, re-stocking and equipment maintenance
 Checking budgets, and signing off medical invoices
 Assisting anti-doping processes including liaising with the ITA for the pre-tour bloods and ensuring compliance in this – provide some contingency in this area.
 Medical Advisory Group (MAG) – planning, assisting and contributing to quarterly MAG meetings , ensuring medical audit compliance
 Project work including injury & illness audits and database interrogation, driving Zero Days activities.
 Support Head of Medical on staff development, recruitment, implementation and monitoring of policies to ensure the medical team meet set standards
 Annual audit compliance – preparation and collation of evidence for the Annual External Audit of the Medical department
 Infection Control - updating and maintaining Infection Control (including Covid) Policies and Protocols for Team Activities in line with Team and UCI protocols, ensuring stock levels of materials including testing kits and PPE where needed

RIDER MEDICAL MANAGEMENT
 Organise and support the delivery of the annual medical screening
 Rider appointments: support riders at appointments at the direction of the medical team
 Supporting compliance with the international governing body requirements
 New rider onboarding – Leading in the project of onboarding new riders from a medical perspective and supporting in logistics and operational aspects.

OTHER
 Project Manage Medical screening Camp
 Comply with INEOS Grenadiers staff policies and protocols.
 Understand, adhere to and implement INEOS Grenadiers values

THE PERSON IN THIS ROLE HAS


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
 Understanding of medical confidentiality principles
 A good knowledge of medical terminology, having worked in a medical operations role, preferably in sport.
 Experience working in a high performance sporting environment

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
 Excellent communication skills
 Ability to work as part of a team
 Strong planning and organisational skills
 Resourceful and able to work on initiative, calm and determined
 Strong project management skills
 IT competency
 Driving licence

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
 You'll be happy to work as part of a team but equally capable of working on your own initiative.
 You'll be eager to learn and integrate into a fantastic team of staff and riders
 A higher qualification or extensive experience in the medical administration and / or professional sport environment
