Purpose of the Role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating engaging and high-quality visual content that supports the Club's marketing, communications, supporter engagement, and commercial objectives.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the post holder will produce creative assets across digital, print, and motion graphic formats, helping to bring Huddersfield Town AFC's campaigns, stories, and brand to life. Working closely with colleagues across the Club, the Graphic Designer will create content that supports attendance growth, supporter acquisition, audience engagement, and commercial performance, helping to deliver the ambitions set out within the HTAFC Club Strategy 2026-2030.

The post holder will work closely with departmental colleagues to support the effective delivery of creative projects, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

Position Within the Team

This role forms part of the Club's wider Creative Team alongside the Video Content Producers, Club Photographer, and Digital Content Producer. While the post holder reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, they will work closely with other team members is relation to day-to-day coordination of briefs, workflow, priorities, and project delivery across the creative function. This role is focused on producing high-quality creative work that helps the Club grow and diversify its supporter base, increase engagement, strengthen the supporter and staff experience and support commercial success.

Creative professionals at other football clubs and sporting organisations.
Commercial partners and sponsors.
Key Performance Indicators
• Delivery of design and motion graphics projects against agreed deadlines and priorities.

• Consistently high standards of creative output across digital and print channels.

• Effective support of campaigns that drive attendance, supporter engagement, supporter growth, and commercial performance.

• Consistent application of the Club's visual identity and brand guidelines.

• Positive stakeholder feedback regarding quality, creativity and delivery.

• Accuracy and attention to detail across all creative outputs.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Graphic Design and Content Production

The post holder will:

• Design and produce high-quality visual assets across digital and print channels.

• Create graphics, artwork and promotional materials for marketing campaigns, supporter communications, staff engagement, match days, events, hospitality, retail, and partnership activity.

• Produce content for use across social media, websites, email communications, digital advertising, publications, and other supporter-facing channels.

• Create motion graphics, animations, and dynamic visual content for campaigns, stadium screens, and digital channels.

• Adapt and optimise creative assets for different audiences, channels, and formats.

• Ensure all work is delivered to agreed timescales, quality standards, and campaign objectives.

Campaign and Audience Engagement

The post holder will:

• Support campaigns designed to increase attendances, supporter engagement, supporter acquisition, and supporter retention.

• Develop creative assets that engage key growth audiences, including families, young people, women, and other under-represented communities or groups.

• Contribute creative ideas and concepts that enhance campaign performance and audience engagement.
Commercial and Revenue Generating Activity

The post holder will:

• Produce creative assets that support ticket sales, memberships, hospitality, retail and other commercial activity.

• Design promotional content for kit launches, retail campaigns, hospitality packages, events, mascot opportunities, sponsorship activations, and other Club events/initiatives.

• Create materials that maximise the visibility and value of Club partnerships.

• Develop creative solutions that help drive commercial performance and revenue growth.

Brand and Creative Standards

The post holder will:

• Ensure all creative work aligns with the Club's visual identity, brand guidelines and strategic objectives.

• Maintain high standards of creativity, consistency, and accuracy across all outputs.

• Ensure creative content reflects the values, ambitions, and diversity of Huddersfield Town Football Club and wider communities.

• Support the continued development of innovative and engaging creative approaches across Club activity.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

The post holder will:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing and Creative and the wider organisation to deliver effective creative solutions.

• Interpret creative briefs and translate them into engaging visual content, communicating progress clearly to the brief owner.

• Work closely with video, photography, and digital content colleagues to produce integrated content.

• Keep up to date with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practice.

• Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and impact of creative content and campaign delivery.

How to apply
Huddersfield Town AFC Graphic Designer Up to £29,000 per annum, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time - 35+ hours per week. Permanent. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Creative Team for a suitably qualified and experienced Graphic Designer to create engaging and high-quality visual content that supports the Club’s marketing, communication, supporter engagement, and commercial objectives. The successful candidate will be required to produce creative assets across digital, print, and motion graphic formats to help bring Huddersfield Town AFC’s brand, campaigns, and stories to life. Applicants must have previous, proven experience in a graphic design role producing both digital and print content, and motion graphics or animated content. Experience of managing projects from initial brief to final production is also essential. This role requires proficiency in industry standard software, particularly the Adobe Creative Cloud, and a strong foundation in core design principles such as typography, colour theory and visual composition.
