How to apply
Huddersfield Town AFC Women’s Team Physical Performance Coach £20.00 per hour. Part-time (6 hours per week) covering Wednesday evenings (two hours) and match days/preparation time (four hours) during each season. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented individual to support our Women’s Team as a Physical Performance Coach. In this role you will work with the Women’s First Team, and other age groups as required, taking responsibility for designing and delivering the athletic development strategies for the group(s) as a whole and for designing specific programmes to suit the needs of each individual player. Working closely with the Women’s Team Manager, the post holder will support players to improve their strength and power markers, as well as GPS markers on the pitch including increases in maximum speed. With previous proven experience in a sports performance environment and experience of providing strength and conditioning support to athletes, you must be well organised and passionate about making difference through sport, with a degree or equivalent in Sports Science or other relevant discipline. We are looking for candidates with a genuine desire to be part of the next phase of development for our thriving Women’s Team, building on the success of the 2025/26 season. As this role is likely to involve the supervision of and work with children, young people, and/or adults at risk, the successful candidate will require clearance to work in football and an Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Applicants must disclose all previous convictions including spent convictions in accordance with the associated legislation; this can be done via a private letter/disclosure to the Head of Human Resources and EDI. The amendments to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’. This means that they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot consider them.
