Job Description
The Role

To be a fully integrated member of the Hampshire boys Pathway team. Key responsibilities would be to head up the Hampshire Hawks Academies (Currently three, soon to be four) and the State Jets programme.

Plan an all-year-round programme, manage all casual coaches and be the Head Coach for the existing Hawks Academies in Southampton, Basingstoke and Portsmouth and lead on the plans for a future Hawks Academy in the North of Hampshire.

As a member of the Hampshire boy’s pathway team, you will need to manage casual coaches, communications with parents and all other stakeholders for all players in the Hawks Academies and State Jets across all age groups. Planning fixtures, communication with schools, other venues, and internal staff members to ensure a training and match schedule runs smoothly and to plan.

There will also be some occasional Regional Performance Centre coaching required from the role, working with the appropriate staff on player ID.

Delivering outstanding programmes, monitoring, and documenting player progress through use of Spond.

Work closely with the HCB and their grass roots coaches. Plan to attend school sessions along with Wicketz and Street programmes to identify possible Hawks Academy players.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential:
• Level 2 Coaching Accreditation (minimum) with a desire to work towards Level 3 & 4
• Ability to work to deadlines, communicate effectively while maintaining a flexible approach and contributing to a team environment.
• Strong set of personal values which are totally aligned with cricket’s values of accountability, excellence, honesty, trust, and teamwork.
• Ability to have tough conversations around selections and always maintain professionalism
• Accountable, disciplined, and motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Current Safeguarding, First Aid and DBS certification
• The willingness and ability to work reasonable flexible hours across all days of the week
• A full valid UK driving licence and use of car

Desirable / Preferable:
• Budget management
• A full valid UK minibus driving licence – MIDAS
• Proven people management skills.
• Highly developed Microsoft Office computer knowledge and skills
• Experience working in different cultures and environments

Permanent, Part-time (30 hours a week)
Core hours – As detailed by the Head of Player Development and subject to change at certain times of the year. 30 hours a week across predominantly afternoons, evenings and weekends, flexible working hours at certain times of the year will apply.
