Gymnasium CrossFit Coach

Gymnasium Group
Organisation
Gymnasium Group
Salary
£20.5-27 per hour
Location
London
Contract type
Permanent (Part time)
Closing date
28 September 2025
Job Description
At Gymnasium, we believe fitness works best when done together—expertly coached, community-powered, and grounded in real results. We’re more than a gym. We’re a team.

We train for strength, mobility and endurance in group classes led by passionate coaches who know how to deliver serious fitness in a welcoming, energised environment. Our Coaches are the beating heart of the member experience—bringing the energy, the know-how, and the consistency to make every session the best hour of someone’s day.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for coaching group classes; CrossFit and DELTΔ. You’ll create a high-energy, inclusive and results-focused experience, while building strong relationships with members. You’ll also support the operational running of the gym and help build our wider community.

You report to the Gym Lead and work closely with the rest of the coaching team.

What We Expect
We’re obsessed with member experience and we expect you to be too. That means:
You’re positive, proactive, and passionate about fitness. You bring energy to every class and care about the details others overlook.
You back your teammates, take ownership, and stay curious about how to get better.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Community
Deliver group classes to the Gymnasium standard—focused, fun, professional.
Build trust and rapport with members; be a friendly, visible presence in and out of class.
Keep your qualifications sharp and your coaching sharper—ongoing learning is part of the gig.
Help run in-gym events and support competitions, seminars, and socials.
Member Experience & Retention

Champion the best possible hour in the gym.
Keep an eye on NPS, retention, and community vibe—and act on feedback.

Operations & Admin.
Maintain gym cleanliness and equipment standards (cleaning schedule, repairs, servicing).
Follow all H&S protocols and flag issues promptly.

What You Need
Must-Haves
At least 2 years of group coaching experience
CrossFit Level 1 or 2
Based in London (within 30 mins of a Gymnasium site)
Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and some holidays
First Aid & CPR certified
Excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude, and solid attention to detail
Comfortable with basic digital tools (email, scheduling, booking platforms)

Nice-to-Haves
CrossFit Level 3 or other advanced certifications
Entrepreneurial mindset and initiative—you like improving things, not waiting for instructions
Comfortable helping on sales consults, member check-ins, or socials

Pay & Benefits
Up to £27 per hour depending on experience
15–25 hours of coaching per week
Subsidised Gymnasium membership
