Kit Technician – Men’s Team Organisation Gloucester Rugby Salary Competitive Location Gloucester Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 5 July 2026 Interview date 13 July 2026 Job Description Main Purpose of the JobTo manage the preparation, maintenance, and organisation of all playing, training, and matchday kit and equipment for the Men’s Team, ensuring the highest standards of presentation, hygiene, and operational readiness to support elite performance.Key Accountabilities• Prepare and issue all training and matchday kit in line with team schedules.• Ensure all equipment is clean, organised, and fit for use.• Maintain accurate records of kit allocation, stock levels, and replacements.• Conduct regular kit audits and report shortages or damages to the Team Manager.• Set up and pack down changing rooms and training environments to required standards.• Ensure all kit is correctly laid out and presented in line with team protocols.• Coordinate arrival and dispatch of equipment for home and away fixtures.• Support team travel by preparing and transporting kit and equipment as required.• Provide pitch-side support as needed (e.g. replacements, emergency kit).• Liaise with coaching, medical, and performance staff to ensure kit and equipment needs are met.• Assist with ensuring compliance with league and competition regulations regarding kit.• Support onboarding of new players with kit allocation and sizing.• Adhoc laundry duties as required.• Maintain storage areas in a safe, organised, and efficient manner.• Ensure branding and sponsorship requirements are correctly applied to all kit.• Drive the Club Kit van in line with current legislative requirements and in a safe manner at all times.• Maintain the cleanliness standards of the van, inside and out.• Cover the other Kit Technicians when on leave.Health and Safety at Work To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation, you must adhere to the company’s safety rules and procedures and take all reasonable care to protect the safety of yourself and others.This job description is intended only as a guide to the main responsibilities and is in no way intended to restrict any individual in the performance of other duties as required by the Company.Qualifications, Experience & KnowledgeEssential• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail• Strong communication skills• Good Time Management and ability to schedule• Maintain high standards at all times• Ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative• Maintain confidentiality• Ability to work weekends and evenings to support matches• Full clean driving licence and ability to travel internationallyDesirable• Experience with sports kit and sports equipment• Ability to drive abroad How to apply Email recruitment@gloucesterrugby.co.uk with an up to date CV and Covering Letter.
