What you’ll do
As a Gym Instructor, you’ll be part of an established Health & Fitness team, reporting to the Health & Fitness Co-ordinator. You’ll play an essential role in each member’s fitness journey, providing a variety of fitness programmes and delivering a range of fitness activities to suit everyone. You will be involved in promoting health and fitness at local and citywide events. You will gather gym user information and oversee the general safety and behaviour of customers to help prevent injury, misuse and damage to facilities and equipment. The safety of our customers and staff is paramount, so you will follow industry and government guidelines and protocols to provide a safe environment, helping with the preparation and cleaning of the facility and maintenance of equipment. To ensure Glasgow Club can deliver the best experience to its customers, you will need to be flexible, adaptable to change and open to delivering new activities.
Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:
• Supporting our communities
• Helping people get active
• Creating cultural experiences
• Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen

We’re looking for:
• Level 2/3 Health and Fitness Qualification in Gym, Exercise and Fitness Knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills to engage and motivate members
• Fitness Coaching qualifications in group fitness activities or the flexibility to learn new skills
