Glasgow 2026 is set to revolutionise the Games, with a bold, ‘Clyde Built’ experience that reflects the city’s resilience and innovation. This is more than just an event; it’s a movement – a celebration of unity, equality, and sporting excellence. A movement that will not only deliver a world-class sporting experience but will also create a lasting legacy, maximising social and economic benefits for the city and the Commonwealth. The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Executive Office as Programme Delivery Coordinator, playing a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of programme management activities that underpin the successful delivery of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Working closely with the Head of Programme Delivery and Risk, you will provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support to the Programme Delivery and Risk function, helping to ensure that programme processes are applied consistently and with rigour across the Organising Company. This is a hands-on role at the heart of Games planning, supporting meetings, workshops, and project activity across multiple workstreams.

You will work collaboratively with teams across the Organising Company, supporting Executive Office priorities, coordinating information and documentation, and helping to ensure that plans, risks, dependencies, and actions are captured accurately and progressed effectively. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to complex, large-scale programme delivery in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Job Summary: 

As Programme Delivery Coordinator, you will support the delivery of core programme management and integrated planning activities that contribute to the successful delivery of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. You will provide coordination, administration, and reporting support across planning, governance, scheduling, and delivery activities, helping to keep programmes aligned, informed, and on track.

You will assist with maintaining programme documentation and plans, tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies, and supporting the preparation of reports, briefings, and updates. Working closely with colleagues across the Organising Company, you will help ensure effective communication, accurate record-keeping, and a clear overview of programme activity across teams and suppliers.

As the Organising Company evolves, the role will develop in line with changing priorities and delivery needs. Flexibility, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach will be essential, as you help support a new, integrated approach to programme delivery and contribute to the successful delivery of a world-class Commonwealth Games in 2026.

Key Skills and Experience: 

We’re looking for someone with strong organisational and administrative skills, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment and supporting multiple priorities at once. Experience working within a programme or project environment is desirable, but not essential — we’re keen to hear from candidates who are motivated to learn and grow.

You’ll bring excellent attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to organise tasks effectively and deliver to a high standard. You’ll be confident preparing written materials such as reports, presentations, and meeting documentation, and comfortable working with data, plans, and schedules.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be a collaborative team player, resilient under pressure, and comfortable working independently when required. Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, and experience using programme management tools such as Smartsheet or Visio would be an advantage.
