The Role We are seeking a Workforce Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of workforce operations for Glasgow 2026.Reporting to the Workforce Manager, you will help implement workforce plans, assist with the recruitment and selection of volunteers, coordinate training content and scheduling, and contribute to the planning and delivery of uniform distribution.This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a world-class event, working alongside passionate professionals and visionary leaders who are committed to showcasing Glasgow on the international stage and delivering an event of excellence for athletes, spectators, and the community.Job Summary: As Workforce Coordinator, you will work collaboratively across departments to ensure workforce operations uphold safety, efficiency, and excellent service standards. You will help plan Games operations and support the central coordination of workforce data capture and management.You’ll assist with the implementation and administration of workforce management systems, ensuring data is accurate and up to date. Working with internal teams, you will help define headcount requirements, manage volunteer offers and backfill processes, and coordinate training plans and session scheduling in collaboration with content owners and subject matter experts.Your role will include providing tools, templates, and advice to functional areas to support assignments, scheduling, and rostering, as well as reviewing schedules to ensure compliance with guidelines and deadlines.You will contribute to uniform planning and distribution, support delivery of the reward and recognition programme, maintain reporting dashboards, and generate summary reports. You will also work closely with teams across Transport, Accreditation, Catering, and Venue Operations to align workforce support services and build strong relationships with colleagues and partners across the Games.Key Skills and Experience: To succeed in this role, you will bring experience supporting workforce or volunteer programmes within an event or operational environment. You will be comfortable managing large sets of data with accuracy and using Microsoft Office tools – especially Excel and PowerPoint – to support reporting and communication.You will have strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and balance competing demands. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at all levels.It would be an advantage if you have experience working in a fast-paced environment, using workforce or learning management systems, or supporting major sporting events. Experience developing or delivering training materials, and understanding uniform, accreditation, or scheduling operations in a workforce context, is also desirable.Why Glasgow 2026?
