The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Sport Competition Manager – Boxing to join our Sport team at Glasgow 2026. This is your chance to lead one of the Games’ most iconic and globally recognised competitions, delivering a seamless experience for athletes, officials, and fans.As Sport Competition Manager – Boxing, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Boxing competition at Glasgow 2026, in full compliance with the International Federation (IF) and Commonwealth Sport regulations. From Field of Play design to competition scheduling and volunteer workforce coordination, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, athlete-centred competition.You will work closely with the IF, National Governing Bodies, and internal delivery teams across Technology, Logistics, Venue Operations, and Workforce to ensure that every element of the Boxing competition is Games-ready and delivered to international standards.Job Summary: As Sport Competition Manager – Boxing, you will lead the strategic and operational planning for the Boxing competition at Glasgow 2026. You’ll develop and manage a detailed delivery plan, aligning with key milestones, infrastructure requirements, technical regulations, and integration points across the wider Games.You will oversee venue design and Field of Play layout, manage competition and training venue operations, and ensure that athlete flows, warm-up zones, and technical systems meet international expectations for safety, performance, and quality. You will collaborate with the Technology team to implement scoring and results systems and support the development of the Detailed Competition and Activity Schedule (DCAS).You will build trusted relationships with the International Federation, Boxing Scotland, and CGAs, and lead the coordination of Technical Officials and volunteers. In addition, you will manage a small internal team, support readiness and test event planning, and contribute to Games publications and legacy documentation.You will be expected to uphold the values of Glasgow 2026 throughout all aspects of delivery, with a strong focus on safety, accessibility, sustainability, and athlete-centred planning.Key Skills and Experience: You will bring significant experience in delivering Boxing competitions at a national or international level, with deep knowledge of IF regulations, formats, and technical operations. A background in major sporting events or multi-sport Games is essential, alongside a proven ability to manage diverse teams and complex logistics under pressure.You will be confident leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating across functional areas, and engaging with external stakeholders including IFs and NGBs. Your project management expertise will include planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, and reporting, all delivered with strong communication and attention to detail.You’ll also be proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using sport-specific management systems. Experience in inclusive sport planning, Games-time scheduling, and test event delivery will be highly regarded, along with familiarity with the strategic values and legacy ambitions of Glasgow 2026.Why Glasgow 2026?
