Job Description
Help Us Shape the Future of the Commonwealth Games – Glasgow 2026!

The journey to Glasgow 2026 starts now – and we want YOU to be part of it! Get ready for a brilliant new era for the Commonwealth Games, blending world-class sport with a sustainable, future-focused vision.

In just over 400 days, Glasgow will transform into a global hub for sport and culture, welcoming 3,000 athletes from 74 nations, across 11 days of unforgettable action, fuelled by the city’s unstoppable energy and passion.

Glasgow 2026 is set to revolutionise the Games, with a bold, ‘Clyde Built’ experience that reflects the city’s resilience and innovation. This is more than just an event; it’s a movement – a celebration of unity, equality, and sporting excellence. A movement that will not only deliver a world-class sporting experience but will also create a lasting legacy, maximising social and economic benefits for the city and the Commonwealth. Don’t miss your chance to be part of something historic!

If you have a passion for sport and a drive for excellence and want to be part of creating something truly special, then Glasgow 2026 wants you.

The Role

We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as our CGA Relations Manager – Asia & Oceania. This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games.

As CGA Relations Manager – Asia & Oceania you will play a vital role in shaping an inclusive, athlete-first experience at Glasgow 2026. Acting as the dedicated liaison for Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) across Asia and Oceania, you’ll build trusted relationships and provide expert guidance throughout their Games journey — from early planning through to Games-time support.

Working across multiple functional areas, you’ll help CGAs navigate key operational processes and ensure their delegations feel welcomed, respected, and fully prepared. This is a people-focused, high-impact role at the heart of an international celebration of sport and culture, where your diplomacy, attention to detail, and passion for connection will directly contribute to the success of the Games. This pivotal role will place you at the heart of a world-class sporting celebration, supporting Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) from Asia and Oceania on their journey to and during Glasgow 2026.

You’ll act as the dedicated liaison for these CGAs — building trusted relationships, advocating for their needs, and coordinating critical Games services such as accreditation, accommodation, and transport. Your cultural intelligence, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills will ensure a seamless and athlete-first experience for teams from across two continents.

Working in partnership with teams across the Organising Company, you’ll help deliver a Games that reflects the Commonwealth values of Humanity, Equality, and Destiny – showcasing Scotland to the world while empowering nations and territories to shine.

Job Summary:

As the CGA Relations Manager for Asia and Oceania you will serve as the dedicated relationship manager for all assigned Commonwealth Games Associations, providing tailored advice, culturally sensitive support, and proactive updates throughout the lifecycle of the Games.

You’ll guide CGAs through their preparation, ensuring they fully understand and are equipped for operational processes such as Athlete Accommodation Hub Services, Accreditation, Arrivals and Departures, and Transport. To support this, you’ll coordinate and deliver informative webinars, workshops, and briefings, and take responsibility for managing the return of the Team Size Calculator (TSC), a crucial planning tool for both CGAs and the Organising Committee.

During Games-time, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering services and resolving issues as they arise. This includes leading Delegation Registration Meetings (DRMs) upon CGA arrival at the Village and acting as a calm, responsive escalation points for any queries or challenges encountered by the delegations. Collaboration will be central to your work as you build strong, lasting relationships with Chefs de Mission, team leaders, and officials, while also working cross-functionally with departments such as Transport, Accommodation, Protocol, and Accreditation to ensure a seamless and unified service approach.

Throughout, you’ll maintain accurate records of engagement and raised issues to support informed decision-making and real-time responsiveness. Following the Games, you’ll contribute to post-Games reporting and legacy planning, ensuring key learnings are captured and shared to drive continuous improvement across future events.

Key Skills and Experience:

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring proven experience in stakeholder relations, international sport, major events, or client services, coupled with a strong understanding of multi-sport event operations or CGA/NOC environments.

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be exceptional, underpinned by a confident cross-cultural approach that allows you to work effectively with diverse partners. Organised and level-headed, you’re able to manage competing priorities in fast-paced, high-profile environments, always maintaining a calm and solutions-focused mindset. Your ability to problem-solve quickly and thoughtfully, combined with a strong service ethic, will be key to success.

It would be advantageous if you have experience working with Asia and Oceania sporting bodies or federations, particularly in multilingual contexts. Fluency or proficiency in languages such as Mandarin, Thai, Urdu or other widely spoken Commonwealth languages is a plus, as is familiarity with Glasgow’s sporting and cultural landscape. Previous exposure to Games-time operations, particularly within the Commonwealth or Olympic Games, would add valuable context and insight.

You’re someone who naturally builds relationships through empathy, clarity, and respect. Calm and pragmatic under pressure, you thrive on finding practical solutions and maintaining composure when it counts most. Your cultural intelligence means you value diversity and are motivated by the inclusive values of the Commonwealth. With a collaborative approach, a positive spirit, and a resilient mindset, you embrace challenge and change with enthusiasm. Above all, you're driven by a passion for sport, inclusion, and the power of bringing global communities together.

Why Glasgow 2026?

Joining the Glasgow 2026 team means being part of something extraordinary. As we embark on this exciting journey, we’re not just planning an event – we’re creating a new legacy for Glasgow and the Commonwealth. This is an opportunity to shape the future of major sporting events, bringing the world together for 11 days of unforgettable competition and culture.

We’re looking for well-organised, passionate, and driven people who are excited to roll up their sleeves and be part of an inclusive, forward-thinking, and sustainable Games. This is your chance to help set the new standard for global events while contributing to the city’s rich sporting legacy.
