Independent Committee Member Organisation Federation of Disability Sport Wales Salary 0 Location Cardiff Contract type Volunteer (Part time) Closing date 16 March 2026 Job Description The Federation of Disability Sport Wales (known as Disability Sport Wales) is a dynamic, passionate and proactive organisation who are committed to ensuring that physical activity (including sport) is seen as a genuine choice for everyone in Wales. Our purpose is to ensure that disabled people are as likely to have a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity (including sport) as non-disabled people.It is essential to DSW that we have diversity of perspective to govern as effectively as possible, and to ensure that we continue to be a forward- thinking, sector leading organisation for the future.We are looking for THREE new Independent Committee Members, one who can sit on our Governance Committee and two who can sit on our Finance and Assurance Committee.We would be keen to hear from anyone who:- is comfortable asking questions which will help us grow,- would be interested in giving some time to bring independent thinking to our work- brings diverse insight and understanding to discussions.Previous experience on a committee is helpful, but not essential. We will provide training and support to new committee members to help support the understanding of the role.
