Job Description
WOMEN’S COMMUNITY FOOTBALL OFFICER VACANCY AT THE ESSEX COUNTY FA
Support the Delivery of Local Football’s #MovingForward Strategy 2028

An opportunity has become available to join the Essex County FA’s Chelmsford-based team and grow recreational playing opportunities for females in Essex through a new ‘Women’s Community Football Officer’ vacancy.

There has never been a better time to work for the County FA and play a leading role in the development of the female player pathway. The successful applicant will join a growing Development Team and make a real impact, helping to provide football for underrepresented groups locally. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 11th June.

Working to deliver upon the targets within the ambitious Essex County FA #MovingForward Strategy 2028, the responsibilities of the new staff member will include understanding what the current adult women’s and teenage football landscape looks like in Essex so they can identify potential development opportunities.

Collaboration with stakeholders will also be involved to support the development and implementation of a female football plan for targeted geographical locations, as the role will have a particular focus on the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham and Newham. The new officer will also grow adult women’s community football, inclusive of sessional football via Just Play, alongside team-based formats within Walking Football, small-sided and flexi leagues.
How to apply
A full job description can be downloaded at www.essexfa.com. Applicants should complete the Application and ‘Section 12 Equality and Diversity Monitoring’ Forms, and return both via E-Mail to recruitment@essexfa.com by midnight on Wednesday 11th June. For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Football Development Manager, Karl Sear, on (01245) 393094. The Essex County FA promote equality and diversity in employment and welcome applicants from all parts of the community.
