Job Description

England Handball is not looking for someone to maintain the status quo. We are looking for a
Chair who will actively shape the next decade someone who brings genuine board leadership,
commercial acumen and the networks to open doors that are currently closed to us.
The role requires roughly 2-3 days per month, but what it demands, beyond time, is ambition for a
sport that deserves a bigger stage and the credibility to help us build it.
Strategic Leadership
Providing vision, direction and long-term thinking.
Governance Excellence
Ensuring the highest standards of governance, integrity and accountability.
Commercial Insight, Leadership & Sponsorship
Bring commercial awareness and experience to Board discussions, supporting and
challenging the CEO and Executive in developing England Handball’s approach to long-term
financial sustainability, partnerships and sponsorship.
Stakeholder Influence
Building productive relationships across sport, government, education and the wider
community.
Board Development
Creating a high-performing Board culture that promotes challenge, collaboration and
continuous improvement.
Ambassadorship
Championing handball nationally and representing England Handball with credibility and
passion.
