Administrator
Home Working (Occasional Travel may be required)
Part-Time: 2 days per week
£9,173 per annum (£22,932 FTE)
Initially a 12 month fixed term contract.

Are you highly organised and detail-focused, looking for a role with purpose where your organisational skills can help support programmes that change young lives?

We are seeking a motivated and proactive part-time Administrator to support the work of Personal Best Foundation, the official charity of England Athletics.

This varied part-time role provides administrative support across governance, programme activity and day-to-day operations. The postholder will help ensure meetings are well coordinated, documentation is accurately maintained, and systems are organised and efficient — supporting the charity in delivering programmes that create opportunities for children and young people through the power of athletics.

What we are looking for:

• Experience: Proven administrative experience, including confident minute-taking for meetings. Experience supporting Boards or maintaining structured records is desirable. Charity or not-for-profit experience would be an advantage.

• Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with good proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets. Experience using databases or CRM systems to manage accurate records is required.

• Approach: Proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a small and collaborative team. Someone who enjoys variety, maintaining effective systems, and with a genuine interest in supporting work that benefits children and young people through sport.

Why join us?
This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a charity that is using the power of athletics to change the lives of children and young people from disadvantaged and underserved communities across England.

As a young and growing organisation, we are building strong foundations in governance, programme delivery and impact measurement and this role plays an important part in supporting that work.

You will benefit from flexible remote working and a supportive team environment.

Who We Are:

• England Athletics is the membership and development body for Athletics and Running in England, dedicated to inspiring more athletes and runners of all abilities and backgrounds to fulfil their potential and to have a lifelong love for the sport.

• Personal Best Foundation is the official charity of England Athletics, with the purpose of changing the lives of children and young people from disadvantaged and underserved communities through the power of athletics.

Closing date for applications: Monday 16th March 2026
Interviews scheduled for: Thursday 26th March 2026

England Athletics is committed to providing and supporting an inclusive culture that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion. We are proud of the diverse community we represent and want to ensure our workforce is representative of that community so welcome applications from all sections of the community and diverse groups. We will, at every opportunity, advance equality, and inclusivity for all staff, at all levels within the organisation, by addressing barriers, encouraging participation, and taking all relevant steps to meet everyone’s needs
