The Accounts Assistant will play an integral part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining strong attention to detail, and supporting stakeholders across the organisation.The primary responsibilities will include accurately processing purchase and sales invoices in line with company procedures, carrying out supplier and customer reconciliations, and supporting the maintenance of robust financial controls. The Accounts Assistant will also assist with month-end activities by preparing supporting documentation, running system reports, and identifying discrepancies or anomalies for escalation.In addition, the role will involve monitoring key finance inboxes, responding promptly to internal and external queries, and supporting the resolution of invoice or payment issues. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement within the finance department and provide general support.The individual should preferably be qualified to AAT level or working towards the qualification and should have sound knowledge of the monthly reporting process, understanding the nominal reporting structure. The candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience of undertaking sales and purchase ledger administration, BACS, payments, credit control and financial administration.
