The role will be a key in leading the organisation in the EDI area of work by informing, and influencing policy and programme design, and the wider sport in achieving its vision ‘for athletes to become an inclusive sport where everyone belongs and can flourish’Working at a strategic and operational level, the ED &I Manager will take the lead on delivering the Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, providing regular updates and reports to the England Athletics Board and Sport England, as required. Regular interaction through inter-departmental working, Board, England Council, and member Clubs engaged with the ongoing development of the sport and its athletes and runners is imperativeThe postholder will be responsible for, but not limited to:• Lead and champion the EA Diversity Action Plan across the organisation and wider sport.• Offer guidance to the Board, England Council, and Senior Management Team on how to reach, engage and influence people from underrepresented groups as participants and in the core governance structure of England Athletics, ensuring full cascade of priorities and targets to all work programmes.• To manage ongoing relationships and strategic plan delivery with relevant partner organisations and other key national stakeholders such as MIND, Sporting Equals, Women in Sport, Activity Alliance, Sport England, and other partner bodies working in the EDI space.• To lead the England Athletics Culture & Wellbeing Group.• To support EA colleagues to understand and drive forward this area of work, through the delivery of support, programmes, education/training, and services to member clubs & organisations, coaches, officials and through our participation offers.
