The role will lead the operational delivery of our sustainability work. Working closely with The Green Runners, the post holder will be responsible for supporting sustainability practices within our network of athletics and running clubs, as well as developing a working model to encourage more licensed events to adopt sustainability principles.The postholder will work with internal champions to embed sustainability thinking and action across the whole organisation. Working with external agency support and Head of Commercial, they will oversee an update to the current sustainability strategy. The postholder will be responsible for:• Manage the update to England Athletics’ sustainability strategy.• Work with the marketing team, athlete ambassadors and clubs to showcase best practice • Manage Sport England sustainability funding requirements, specifically the measurement of and subsequent reduction of England Athletics carbon impact • Support the management of the internal working group of sustainability champions to embed sustainability across the organisation.• Operational lead within the internal sustainability steering group.Closing date for applications: Thursday 15th May 2025Interview date: Wednesday 28th May 2025 England Athletics is committed to providing and supporting an inclusive culture that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
