Data and Insights Analyst Organisation England & Wales Cricket Board Salary Competitive Location England and Wales - 3 days a week working out in the network or at an ECB office location Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 15 August 2025 Job Description PURPOSEEstablished in December 2023, the Cricket Regulator was set up to be the ring-fenced executive team responsible for ensuring effective education programmes are in place; to operate best practice monitoring, intelligence, and compliance programmes; to investigate alleged breaches, and to prosecute cases where considered appropriate.The Cricket Regulator focuses on Anti-Corruption, Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Doping, Safeguarding, General Misconduct, and Agency activity in the professional game, as well as other designated levels of organised cricket. Safeguarding and Anti-Discrimination also involves working with other organisations across the recreational game. The Cricket Regulator also ensures cricket in England and Wales meets the regulatory requirements of the International Cricket Council, and also playing a lead role in combatting global threats.The roles and responsibilities of the Cricket Regulator were previously carried out by an ECB team, which has largely transitioned across to the new structure. An objective in the creation of the Cricket Regulator was to create greater assurance around the separation between regulatory functions and the remainder of the ECB activities.To provide support and guidance to cricket organisations across England and Wales on safeguarding and assist them with achieving the highest possible standards within the County Partnership Agreement. The role will support the cricket regulatory in identifying trends and possible threats to the sport, thus enabling proactive measures and preventive actions to mitigate these risks. You will work as part of the strategy, performance, and operations team to provide analysis informed by insights and performance metrics that will assist in achieving the strategic priorities set forth in the cricket regulatory strategy. THE ECBThe England and Wales Cricket Board is the national governing body for cricket in England and Wales, supporting the game at every level, covering the recreational and professional games. The ECB General Counsel has executive responsibility for the ECB regulations, reporting to the ECB Chief Executive. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGAssist the development of performance framework including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Demonstrate an understanding of business goals and can turn these into tangible performance measures. Support the creation and delivery of the Strategic and Tactical Risk & Threat Assessments across cricket providing insight to actionable next steps. Deliver analysis and information that addresses stakeholder needs and provides recommendations. Understand the appropriate media to communicate findings. Shape and share communications relevant to the audience. Give tactical recommendations. Managing stakeholder engagement ensuring all reporting requirements are met, creating new reports and dashboards where appropriate. Forging links with other analytical teams and subject areas across sport Support the delivery of the Cricket Regulator Implementation Plan in line with the Cricket Regulator strategy. Using your attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills to build trust and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation To maintain and develop knowledge and skills relevant for the position of Analyst regular training and professional development.
