Job Description: EUFC are recruiting for a Lead Physiotherapist to work within the club’s Performance Department.

The successful candidate will be required to manage and be accountable for the delivery and development of all medical, health, injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation needs within the first-team environment

You will be expected to maintain high professional standards of clinical practice within the Medical and Sports Science departments.

You will be fully flexible to support the medical provision for games home and away and all training days.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and develop medical, health and rehabilitation programmes for individual players and on a club-wide basis.

• Assess, diagnose and rehabilitate players.

• Provide pitch-based rehabilitation and emergency aid cover for training and matches.

• Maintain an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating with coaches, sports science, and strength & conditioning staff.

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in sports medicine and professional regulations.

• Build strong relationships with players and the S&C department to support injury prevention and rehabilitation.

• Ensure compliance with professional regulations and maintain accurate medical records.

Key qualities

• The successful candidate must hold a degree in the field of Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy.

• Previous experience within a sporting environment.

• Be fully flexible to suit the requirements of a first-team schedule.

• ATMMiF (as a minimum) accreditation, or equivalent, or the ability to complete this at the earliest opportunity.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff and players.

• Focused on individual player development within a team process.

• Ability to create relationships with players and identify a support network to effectively support injury rehabilitation and performance needs.
