The men’s side compete in Champ Rugby, and the Women play in the Premiership Women’s Rugby League.This is an opportunity to join Trailfinders during a very exciting period of the Club’s history.THE ROLE The Community Coach will play a key role within the Ealing Trailfinders community team, delivering engaging coaching sessions in local schools. While the main focus will be on school delivery, they will also support camps, matchday activities, and wider community programmes.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Plan and deliver fun, appropriate and purposeful coaching sessions for curriculum and extra curriculum delivery in schools.• Continue to develop and manage the strong relationships established with local schools, clubs and community organisations.• To keep accurate monitoring records for all sessions and contribute to the gathering and analysis of evaluation information on Upshot’s reporting system.• Attend Community Department meetings as necessary.• To maximise opportunities to raise awareness amongst the target audiences and the surrounding areas of Ealing Trailfinders and Trailfinders Women’s matchdays.• Continue to develop your skills and knowledge.• Be a strong, consistent example of all the Club’s values and vision.• Promote, maintain and uphold the standards within the Club.• Any other reasonable requests.THE PERSONExperience• Proven experience of delivering coaching across age groups and environments.• Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding.Qualifications• England Rugby Coaching Award (or equivalent).• Enhanced DBS.• Safeguarding.• First Aid.• Driver’s license or the ability to travel reliably to sessions.Skillset● Adaptable - must be able to deal with high pressure situations and be focussed on finding solutions.● Reliable - must be on time, and well prepared for all sessions.● Personable - Building relationships with all stakeholders, including children, families, schools, councillors, local business and others in the community.● Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and takes pride in the achievement of team objectives.Please note, that this role will require weekend, evening or unsociable hours of work.This job description is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive.
