Job Description
THE ROLE
As part of the media team, you will play a key role in bringing alive the stories found within the Club. You will be responsible for engaging with supporters in a meaningful way, bringing them closer to the Club and inspiring a sense of belonging – deepening their relationship with the Club.
You will assist in managing the digital media channels for our Men’s and Women’s teams, Academy and Community - implementing a cross-platform strategy that promotes our Club and players, increasing brand visibility and media outcome.
Please note, this is an on-site role that requires flexibility to work around the rugby calendar,
including evenings and weekends.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the media team, you’ll use your strong copy writing skills to help
manage our social media platforms and both create and deliver content across our
various channels.
• Be required to work every matchday (home and away) to maximise our matchday
output.
• Support and make recommendations across the media team, collaborating closely with colleagues to develop messaging and driving communications throughout the season across fixtures, campaigns and projects.
• Monitor social channels to develop deeper relationships with supporters and cultivate a community within the fanbase by engaging with comments, conversations and queries.
• Stay across current and emerging trends and be immersed in wider culture to find authentic ways of connecting the Club and players with both existing supporters and audiences who may be yet to engage with the Club/sport.
• Work closely within a dynamic team to devise and develop our opportunities to create new, interesting and exciting content.
• Liaise where appropriate with colleagues across the Club to align departments’ communications output and ensure all deliverables are met.
• To contribute positively to the team environment and culture
• Be a strong consistent example of all the club’s values and vision
• Any other reasonable request.

THE PERSON
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
● Experience working within media in the sports industry
● Experience and understanding of social media channels
● A passionate storyteller with creative ability and a desire to tell those stories
● Clear understanding of the Club’s current output, current social trends, and ability to identify opportunities
● Strong relationship management and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and players
● Outstanding communication skills with excellent copywriting ability and attention to detail.
● Working knowledge of the creative content process.
● Ability to work flexibly against tight timelines without compromising quality.
● A team-first mindset that thrives in exciting environments.
● Self-motivated and dynamic personality with the ability to be proactive and flexible.

Desirable
● Knowledge of Rugby Union
● Understanding of the wider implications of communication roles to marketing
● Experience working with talent
● Good knowledge of Ealing Trailfinders
● Experience in capturing high-quality vertical content and editing skills
● Proficiency with Adobe CS.
● A degree in sports communications
