Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate one of the most successful Community Health walking programmes in the county. The successful candidate will join an excellent Sports Development Team (Active Dales), working to grow the Health Walks Programme by establishing targeted walks, expanding the volunteer network and maintaining existing walks.

The successful candidate should have excellent relationship development skills and project and partnership development experience. The Health Walks Coordinator will engage with and support our Community Health Walks programmes which currently consists of around 22 weekly Health Walks.

They will also work in partnership with existing projects, Leisure Centres and health professionals to create clearer pathways for people to access opportunities on their doorstep.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is friendly and approachable, with a great understanding and knowledge of developing walks and physical activity in the community, be customer focused and looking at innovative ways to grow the programme.

This position is based in the Sports Development section of the Community Development department at the Town Hall in Matlock.
