Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter with sales experience to expand our commercial team and help grow the commercial revenue of the business through cricket related sponsorship, advertising and hospitality sales along with group ticket sales and non-cricket events.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

New Business Development
• Proactively generate new enquiries through a variety of channels, and manage these enquiries through to conversion;
• Regularly attend networking events across the county and create new business contacts through these networks;
• Identify new clients via research to approach in a timely and professional manner;
• Play a fundamental role in expanding the profile and reach of the company.
Account Management:-
• Create, build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing sponsors and partners;
• Up-sell opportunities across the business to existing partners.

Group Ticketing
• Prospect and approach leads across a range of key target groups, including businesses, cricket clubs and schools, as well as broader leisure groups
• Grow database of contacts nurture relationships
• Identify opportunities to include Group Ticketing within the broader commercial mix when liaising with potential partners
• Achieve revenue and basket size targets as agreed with the Marketing department
• Deliver monthly (weekly in-season) reports on sales activity
• Strategise and collaborate with Marketing colleagues on collateral, publications, initiatives and partnerships
• Work closely with the Club’s Ticket Office to fulfil orders

Administration and Management Reporting:-
• Work closely with other departments to help deliver and fulfil the elements of a partner’s association with the club, e.g. Matchday Hospitality tickets;
• Help to update and maintain leads & targets database

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
• A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to acquire new business and grow commercial revenue;
• Enthused about meeting new people and engaging a wide range of prospects using a range of communication methods
• Confident and able to develop successful relationships with external parties;
• Good commercial awareness with an eye for detail;
• Pro-active attitude with a positive and friendly approach to stakeholders;
• A good understanding of first-class and regional grass-roots cricket is desirable but not essential
• Personal integrity.
