The club are currently playing in the Sky Bet Champion-ship, the second tier of English Football following their promotion from League One in the 2023/24 season and is under the management of Head Coach John Eustace. The club also boasts a successful and respected Category One Academy, a status which has been held since 2014, and a Women’s side competing in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division. Derby County recently embarked on an exciting new era following the change in ownership to Clowes Developments (UK) Limited, in the summer of 2022. Our track record of producing talent is outstanding, and we intend to protect that proud legacy, investing in key roles within the club to build on the foundations in place for success.Derby County Women officially joined the club in the summer of 2023, after being formed in 1989, and play their home fixtures at the Don Amott Arena in Mickleover.This move was made as part of the club’s commitment to expanding its support for the women’s game and the Women’s first-team have their own dedicated hub at Moor Farm Training Ground, where they also train.The Ewes play in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division and are managed by former Derby player Sam Griffiths, while the long-serving Hannah Ward holds the role of club captain and midfielder Emily Joyce being the team captain.In 2023/24, the Ewes enjoyed a memorable run in the FA Women’s National League Plate and lifted the trophy following a 3-0 victory over Cambridge United in the Final.The Female Talent Pathway is in place to develop local young talent and was established ahead of the 2023/24 season as an amalgamation between the Derby County Women’s Academy teams and the Community Trust’s Regional Talent Centre and the age groups run from Under-10s to Under-20s.Derby County Women has an opportunity to join the First Team as a Goalkeeping Coach.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Womens Goalkeepers in line with the Womens vision and playing philosophy, with the aim of developing the players to the required level to progress into The FA Womens ChampionshipKey Responsibilities:• To be responsible for coaching the Womens 1st Team Goalkeepers and on occasion U18s, 20s Goalkeepers in consultation with the Head coach • To plan, deliver and evaluate all sessions• To manage kit and equipment • To commit to both club and individual (CCF) CPD programmes. Provide and store evidence of this process.• To maintain a multi-disciplinary approach when interacting with players and all departments.• To promote open lines of communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and Administration staff.• To demonstrate consistently high standards of behaviour and to operate within the parameters of the Laws of the Game, the Rules of the Football Association or the Rules of the Football League and FA Premier League.Personal characteristics and experience:• Experience in coaching Senior Goalkeepers • Ability to manage a group of female goalkeepers.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, positively and enthusiastically with people at all levels• Knowledge of relevant governing body programmes, policies and procedures• First Aid and Safeguarding qualified.• Excellent planning and organisational skills• Committed to high standards.• Flexible approach and prepared to work unsociable hours• Able to take a considered and sensible approach to problem-solving.Essential Qualifications• UEFA B Coaching Certificate• UEFA B Goalkeeping Coaching CertificateThis role is 8 hours per week, Tuesday / Thursday evenings (occasional Wednesday) and Sunday fixtures and is a fixed term until May 2026. This role will be based at Derby County Training Centre, but some travel will be required to attend national fixtures.
