We are constantly trying to grow, diversify and build with not only our team on the pitch, but also our team in the offices and on the ground.About this role:To provide an excellent standard of rehabilitation services to injured Professional Development Phase players within an interdisciplinary team environment. · To lead on injury/illness audit within the Professional Development Phase, in collaboration with the Academy Head of Medical and Academy Head of Performance. · To develop CPFC Academy principles of rehabilitation, in collaboration with Academy Head of Physiotherapy. Responsibilities:Leadership and CommunicationCommunicating effectively with Academy medical team and other key support staff (e.g., performance, technical, player care) to provide a holistic, leading standard of rehabilitation service to Professional Development Phase players.Contributing to the co-ordination of the daily and long-term schedules for injured Professional Development Phase players.Collating Professional Development Phase injury/illness audit reports for dissemination to Academy support staff.To oversee, in conjunction with the Academy Head of Physiotherapy, the development of Academy rehabilitation principles which align with the broader CPFC rehabilitation philosophy.ClinicalProviding an excellent standard of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to injured Professional Development Phase players.To successfully rehabilitate injured Professional Development Phase players (from plinth to pitch) in a progressive, objective and functional manner, which restores the player to (at least) their previous level of performance and reduces their risk of re-injury and/or secondary injuries.To demonstrate excellence in the use of objective markers for the successful rehabilitation of injured Professional Development Phase players; using markers which are specific to the sport, individual and injured tissue.To demonstrate excellence in the use of a broad-base of rehabilitation approaches, including manual therapy, electrotherapy, gym-based, hydrotherapy and pitch-based rehabilitation methods.To provide support to the U18 Physiotherapist / U21 Physiotherapist as required.Leadership and CommunicationCommunicating effectively with Academy medical team and other key support staff (e.g., performance, technical, player care) to provide a holistic, leading standard of rehabilitation service to Professional Development Phase players.Contributing to the co-ordination of the daily and long-term schedules for injured Professional Development Phase players.Collating Professional Development Phase injury/illness audit reports for dissemination to Academy support staff.To oversee, in conjunction with the Academy Head of Physiotherapy, the development of Academy rehabilitation principles which align with the broader CPFC rehabilitation philosophy.Clinical AdministrationOther duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
