We are constantly trying to grow, diversify and build with not only our team on the pitch, but also our team in the offices and on the ground.About this role:Ensure PGA players experience a physical performance programme that supports the club blueprint and develops high quality athletesLead and develop the physical programme across the PGA and academy age groupsEnsure players experience a safe, secure, and supportive environment.Provide excellent feedback to the MDT on physical outlooks on players and individuals Responsibilities:Contribute to the PGA blueprint / curriculum ensuring there is S&C provision which complements the football programme.Deliver – or oversee the delivery of – the PGA and Girls Pathway physical development programme, including:Design and deliver individualised athletic development programmes as well as group training sessionsProvide injury rehabilitation training of players as directed by the physiotherapist/sports therapist, in preparation for return to trainingDesign and deliver a fitness testing programme. Use the results to drive group and individual training programmesWork with Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist to develop and support an activation / prehab programmeManage facilities and equipment within the PGA so that it is well maintained and safe to useMaintain a comprehensive database of work conducted with athletes and coaches. Keep records which meet the standard required by The FA and the appropriate professional bodiesCommunicate with parents in the event of S&C related queries, generally and specifically to their children. Educate and support parents with regard to their role in supporting physical development, injury prevention, injury care, recovery, diet and other factors relating to lifestyle away from the PGA.Advise and direct other staff on the needs of players. Attend case management meetings and provide professional opinion /inputEducate coaches on the S&C provision and embedding physical outcomes within technical sessionsProvide critical data and benchmarking for IDP review and decision making processes on individual playersWork with external partners / stakeholdersOther duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
