About this role:


We are seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organised Content Lead to oversee the planning, creation, and execution of content across all video and social platforms, as well as developing existing talent. This role is responsible for supporting both the videography and social media teams to deliver impactful, engaging, and brand-aligned content that supports the club’s goals on and off the pitch. The ideal candidate will be both a strong team leader and a hands-on content strategist with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement, whilst maximising the product of Premier League and European football.





Responsibilities:



Deliver and develop the club’s content strategy across all platforms (web / app, social media, Palace TV, etc.) ensuring all content is high quality, engaging, and on-brand.
Lead and manage the videography and social media team, ensuring consistent output of a high standard, whilst balancing the objectives of both the video and social teams
Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to the Senior Videographer and Senior Social Media Manager, as well as the wider video and social teams.
Implement a best in class mantra, delivering creative content in line with current trends on top of the ‘business as usual’ of sports content
Act as the key point of contact for all content-related planning within the Videography and Social Media teams,
Collaborate with internal departments to create and deliver campaign content/messaging that meets business needs, whilst building relationships with key departments, e.g. football department.
Work with the social media and video team to build a content calendar / roadmap, aligning storytelling across video and social platforms with marketing priorities and key moments (e.g. matchdays, player signings, community events), ensuring timely delivery
Oversea the creation of clear launch plans for all content opportunities, as well as delivering major video features throughout the season
Maximise matchday planning and execution, coordinating between videographers and social media leads.
Identify sponsorship opportunities for new partners by packaging existing, and implementing new strands content strands
Review and sign off on major content pieces, including video edits, captions, and campaign posts.
Ensure that tone, style, and visual identity are consistently applied.
Respond to real-time events with agility, ensuring content remains fresh and creative.
Monitor content performance through analytics and insights to inform future strategy, providing regular reports on content metrics across platforms.
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.




Experience, Skills and Qualifications:


Proven experience in content creation, digital marketing, or media production, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong background in social media management and/or video content production.
Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills.
Experience managing creative teams and workflows.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, reactive environment, especially during live events or matchdays.
Knowledge of current digital trends, audience behaviours, and platform best practices.
A passion for sport and storytelling is highly desirable.
