About this role:
We are recruiting for a Physical Performance Coach in the Women Team to manage and lead on the physical performance for our first team.
Responsibilities:
Full time management of the Women first team physical programme
Work closely with coaches to design appropriate football sessions that meet the team's and individual's demands.
Work closely with the Sport Scientist to periodise and plan the players loading schedule throughout the season
Deliver the athletic development program through gym & pitch-based sessions.
Planning and delivery of targeted, effective strategies tailored to individual player needs and team schedules
Deliver & co-manage physical testing protocols.
Manage player work load (training and game), player wellness & return to play data.
Work well within a multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic development pathway for all players.
Complete daily sports science & medical reports
Take part and contribute to external and internal CPD, with the aim of evolving the current program.
Lead match day protocols.
Contribute to the capture of physical performance data by monitoring, recording and analysis of physical performance data, particularly gym-based metrics, to support and guide coaching decisions and enhance communication with our players and staff
Design, deliver and evaluate individualised programs that align with our club's overarching physical development framework, tailored to players' developmental stage, training age and positional requirements
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Educated to MRes/MSc level or equivalent.
Professional accreditation through BASES, ASCC or CSCS
Experience working in elite sport, preferably within women football
Three or more yearsexperience of working within a professional sport setting.
Track record of creating physical development programs - history of designing and delivering individualised physical development programs within a structured long-term athlete development framework, and you have a comprehensive understanding of youth-to-senior athlete transitions and the physical demands of professional football
Experience in delivery at both an andragogy and pedagogy level.
Experience of working with GPS systems (Statsport preferable).
Passionate about the development of the female athlete.
Advanced computer literacy skills.
Data-driven - proven ability to systematically record, monitor, and visualise physical performance data, especially gym-based metrics, using tools such as Excel, Smartabase, VALD/ForceDecks, TeamBuildr, NordBord or similar platforms
Excellent communication skills - translate complex data into practical coaching decisions and to impactfully engage players at various stages of development and you're confident in discussions and decision-making, with a proactive, engaging communication style that fosters collaboration
Adaptable and flexible style - able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced elite sport environment, demonstrating initiative, flexibility and resilience under pressure
highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive in managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously and skilled in producing clear, concise reports and maintaining professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Growth mindset - lead by example, promoting high performance, accountability and continuous improvement, focused on enhancing knowledge and processes to maintain elite standards in sports science and performance
