• High quality programme and project management services.
• The delivery of national scale programmes on behalf of Sport England and other clients.
• Content creation in the form of guidance notes, toolkits, webpages, blogs, news articles, case studies and the creation of animations and videos.
• UX testing.
• Website management and content population.
• Stakeholder engagement, consultation and relationship management.
• Strategic planning linked to increasing levels of participation in physical activity and sport, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and tackling inequalities.
• Gathering insight and evaluating the impact of projects, programmes and investments.

We have a diverse and ever-expanding Client base from within the public, private and not for profit sectors including; Sport England, National Governing Bodies of sport, Local Authorities, Active Partnerships, national and local charities, leisure operators, educational organisations, sports clubs and groups, and developers.

Job Purpose: To lead and support the work of the Consultant Team including; content creation, stakeholder consultation and engagement, communications and marketing, website development, conducting and managing research, report writing, project and programme coordination and management and client liaison.

Responsible for:
• Managing your own stakeholders and content related projects and inputting into those of other team members, partners and clients.
• Managing Research Consultants and Associates (subject to staffing levels and business needs).

Reports to: Senior Consultant or Directors (dependent on circumstances).

Location: Continuum’s London Office and some home working. Travel to and from Client meetings, occasional working from Client offices and overnight stays may be required.

Holidays: 29 Days PA including statutory Bank Holidays.

Job Duties

Content production and marketing:
o Lead on the production and co-production of written content, infographics, reports and case studies to meet the needs of stakeholders and clients.
o Curate existing content for clients.
o Manage website content, social media channels, stakeholder communications and online forums.
o Lead on the pre- and post-production stages of videos and animations including sourcing case study organisations, preparing interview questions, preparing scripts and storyboards for animations.
o Lead on the development of marketing and communication materials for national programmes and associated content and assets.
o Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with client’s communications and marketing teams.
o Oversee the achievement of KPIs on content and produced media.

Consultation and Stakeholder Engagement:
o Develop and maintain trusting, two-way, stakeholder relationships with various stakeholders, clients and other suppliers across the sport and physical activity sector.
o Lead regular engagement activities with key stakeholders to support programme promotion, needs analysis, and the creation of support resources.
o Develop and lead research and consultation exercises via surveys, electronic, face to face, and telephone/video consultation and discussion groups with a range of stakeholders to determine their priorities, needs, views and opinions. Use this to co-design solutions and content.
o Keep accurate written notes of meetings and associated actions and follow up as relevant.
o Support the preparation and delivery of stakeholder events, communications and online webinars.
o Produce an analysis of consultation and event findings for inclusion within client reports, project updates and content.

Other duties:
o Manage and assist with the planning and implementation of projects.
o Manage delivery including input from and relationships with clients, associates, and suppliers.
o Prepare and deliver events and presentations.
o Organise and attend interviews and video shoots.
o Act as the Secretariat for board meetings.
o Produce and quality assure content including publishable documents, guidance notes, case studies and videos.
o Provide support for other members of the team and projects as and when required.
o Actively review opportunities to improve professionally in the form of training, event attendance and other relevant opportunities.
o Act as an advocate for the business and its clients.
o Support the production of tenders, attend interviews if required, and assist in the production of marketing material for company and its clients including: website content, flyers, brochures, videos and social media posts as required.

Person Specification

Qualifications:
o A minimum of Grade C/5 in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (essential).
o A minimum of degree or similar qualification in a subject area that complements our service offer (desirable).

Skills and Experience - Essential:
o Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in the sport and leisure sector.
o Experience of working in an advisory capacity on any of the following: content development, stakeholder engagement, club or community development, leadership, governance, sports development, capacity building, communications, marketing, website management or CMS population, consultation or project / programme management.
o Experience of working with, and a sound understanding of, national, regional, and local partners, strategies, policies and plans for sport, physical activity and leisure.
o Practical knowledge of the wider benefits of sport and physical activity and experience of collating evidence to support the communication of these.
o Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently and professionally communicate with people at all levels, conduct face to face and telephone consultations and liaise with organisations and members of the public.
o Excellent written communication skills with experience of preparing digital communications, newsletter style copy, reports, case studies, guidance notes and other publishable materials to the highest standards using plain English and referencing relevant evidence.
o Proficient in the use of ICT and experienced in using Windows packages especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will be able to format Word documents and PowerPoint presentations, create and apply formulas in Excel, prepare Excel databases and will be experienced in using search engines to aid research.
o Strong numeracy skills.
o Experience of utilising primary and secondary research tools and techniques for the purposes of consultation, content creation and written analysis.
o Experience of researching and implementing actions linked to tackling equalities and promoting diversity and inclusion.
o Excellent listening skills – the ability to listen, understand and interpret the needs of clients, partners, colleagues and others.

Skills and Experience - Desirable:
o Experience of chairing meetings and hosting stakeholder events.
o Experience of co-designing programmes, projects or content with their intended beneficiaries.
o Experience of marketing/communications (social media / digital content production) in the public, or third sector.
o Working knowledge of the wider value of sport and an understanding of the various sectors of the leisure industry.
o Experience of working to support the production of videos and animations.
o Experience supporting the development, maintenance, or content of a website.
o Experience and skills in leading teams or managing others.
o Driver with clean driving licence and access to a car.
