This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about youth sport and physical development, looking to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant educational setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery and support of Junior Core PE and Games lessons, while also contributing to team sports training and fixtures.The key responsibilities for this role include: • Deliver and support Junior Core PE lessons under the guidance of teaching staff.• Assist in Games lessons across various year groups.• Lead one or more school sports teams, including:o Planning and delivering after-school training sessions.o Managing teams during fixtures and competitions, including Saturdays• Contribute to the wider sporting life of the school, including events and inter-house competitions.• Promote fundamental movement skills and principles of fitness in all activities.• Support the department in administrative and logistical tasks related to sport and PE.We are looking for someone with experience coaching sport and working with young people, who has a strong understanding of movement skills and fitness principles. You should hold relevant coaching qualifications and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and flexible approach is essential for supporting a busy department. Experience in a school or youth sport environment, multi-sport coaching ability, and a First Aid qualification are desirable.
