Gym Supervisor and Instructor Organisation City of London School Salary £30,073 to £33,292 (pro-rated) Location City of London Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 3 November 2025 Interview date 10 November 2025 Job Description City of London School is seeking a Gym Supervisor and Instructor to play a central role in ensuring that the state of the art gym is used to its fullest potential by both pupils and staff. This role is permanent, Term-Time Only (36 weeks) plus 1 week during school holidays. Working hours: 10:30 to 18:30 (a flexible starting time may be possible, this can be discussed at the interview stage).The schools Gym Development, installed in collaboration with Matrix, consists of a Cardio Hub, Fixed Weight Machines and Free weights. The equipment includes Smith Machines, Power Racks and Olympic Lifting Platforms. We also have a dedicated Functional Fitness Space complete with speed carpet, punch bags and a Rig supplied by Escape Fitness.The Gym Supervisor and Instructor will supervise and monitor all activities which take place in the Gym, supporting pupils and staff to achieve their health-related fitness goals. Alongside the oversight of the facility, you will be expected to assist the PE Department in developing and delivering an innovative health-related fitness programme.You will have experience of working within the fitness industries including, fitness instruction and personal training, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills.
