Job Details
Job Title: U15 Assistant Coach

Location: Sparrows Lane Training Ground

Salary: £13 per hour

Hours: Part time / matchdays inclusive

We are looking for a U15 Assistant Coach to join our team and play an important role in supporting the club’s continued growth and success.

Working within a fast-paced professional football environment, you will contribute to delivering high standards across the club while helping create an environment where players, staff and supporters can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing
Support the U15 Head Coach with planning, delivery and review of coaching sessions.
Contribute positively to player development and selection decisions.
Coach using a player-centred approach, encouraging questions, feedback and ownership.
Help players understand the purpose and rationale behind training and decisions.
Set individual development targets and support players to achieve them.
Monitor player development and maintain accurate records on the Academy monitoring system.
Provide regular feedback to players and parents/carers.
Work closely with coaching, medical and performance staff to support player development and wellbeing.
Support effective matchday management in line with the Academy’s development philosophy.
Support players’ holistic development, including football, personal development and wellbeing.
Promote high standards of behavior and ensure Academy expectations are upheld.
Work with the Safeguarding Manager to prioritise player welfare and safeguarding.
Seek feedback and reflect on personal performance to identify areas for improvement.
Maintain a personal Development Action Plan and undertake relevant CPD.
Keep up to date with current research and best practice in youth and female football.
This role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues across the club in a dynamic sporting environment where flexibility, teamwork and professionalism are essential.

Essential Experience / Qualifications

Essential

FA Level 3 / UEFA B Licence
FA DBS
FA Safeguarding Children
FA IFAiF or Emergency First Aid

Desirable

UEFA A Licence
Relevant degree (e.g. Sports Coaching, Sports Science, PGCE)
Talent ID qualification (e.g. FA Talent ID Level 2)
CPD in areas such as:
* Female youth player development

* Talent identification and development

* Player support and wellbeing

Skills & Attributes

Strong teamwork and communication
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High levels of organisation and attention to detail
A positive and professional approach
Experience working within elite sport is beneficial but not essential for many roles – what matters most is attitude, commitment and a willingness to contribute to the success of the club.
