Job Title: Academy Analysis Internships
We are currently recruiting for a plethora of positions, so please see below:
• U21 Performance Analyst Intern
• U18 Performance Analyst Intern
• IDP Analyst Intern
• Foundation Phase Analyst Intern

Location: The Valley / Sparrows Lane Training Ground

Salary: £Unpaid
These positions are a sandwich year placement and is open to currently enrolled students undertaking a placement year as part of their academic programme.

Hours: Full time, matchdays inclusive

We are looking for a academy analysis interns to join our team and play an important role in supporting the club’s continued growth and success.

Working within a fast-paced professional football environment, you will contribute to delivering high standards across the club while helping create an environment where players, staff and supporters can thrive.
What You'll Be Doing
• Assist with reports and video clips for upcoming opponents.
• To film and capture academy games and training.
• Live and post-match coding of training and games using HUDL Sports Code.
• Support with creating clips for post-match video analysis for the team and individuals.
• Help maintain Charlton Athletics’ team and individual statistical databases.
• Create reports on Charlton Athletics’ Loan Players.
• Update Charlton Athletics’ Best Practice Video Library.
• Assist with departmental projects. - Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all company regulations regarding safeguarding, health, safety and security

This role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues across the club in a dynamic sporting environment where flexibility, teamwork and professionalism are essential.

Essential Experience / Qualifications
• Studying for a degree in Football or Sport.
• Good understanding of football coaching, tactics and technical details.
• Interest and passion for analysis of football.
• Ability to commit for the 2026/27 season.
• Be willing to commit to unsociable hours i.e. weekends.
• Be trustworthy with sensitive data.
• Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role

• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• A positive and professional approach

Experience working within elite sport is beneficial but not essential for many roles – what matters most is attitude, commitment and a willingness to contribute to the success of the club.
