Job Description
Volunteer Project Development Team – Phase 1: Build London’s First Community-Led Sports Complex

📍 Remote & London-Based (Hybrid Preferred)
⏱️ Flexible Volunteer Commitment | Transition to Paid Role as Funding Secured
🕒 Start: ASAP | Applications Reviewed on a Rolling Basis

Help Build the Foundation — and Your Future
Casual Ballerz CIC is developing London’s first youth-led sports complex — and we’re looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Project Development Team for Phase 1.

This isn’t just another volunteer role. This is your opportunity to help lead a once-in-a-generation project, shaping a legacy for underserved youth through elite-level facilities, community-driven programming, and long-term social impact.

We’re not looking for people to just fill roles — we’re looking for people to own them.

About the Project
Casual Ballerz CIC is a London-based nonprofit working to transform lives through football, education, mentorship, and social enterprise. Our eight-year Sports Complex vision includes:

A full-size 11-a-side football pitch with indoor training and spectator space
A youth and family hub with life skills training, mentoring, and mental health support
Affordable housing for families and independent young people at risk of displacement
A self-sustaining ecosystem that serves the community for generations to come
We’re now focused on Phase 1 — delivering the pitch and indoor facilities. This is where your skills come in.

Open Roles in the Phase 1 Development Team
We are currently recruiting 3–4 committed individuals for the following positions:

Project Manager
Lead planning, timelines, team workflows, and reporting.
Fundraising & Grants Lead
Identify and secure capital through public and private funding sources.
Community Engagement & Partnerships Lead
Build meaningful relationships with councils, stakeholders, sponsors, and supporters.
Construction & Facilities Advisor
Guide planning, technical compliance, contractor conversations, and space design.

What You’ll Do
Create and manage detailed timelines and deliverables for Phase 1
Support grant applications, investor decks, and sponsor proposals
Build relationships with local authorities, architects, and partners
Help design space that meets regulations, budgets, and long-term use goals
Report progress to the Casual Ballerz CIC leadership team
Promote the vision and progress of the project internally and externally

What We Offer
A leading role in one of the most ambitious community sports projects in London
Clear pathway to a paid role as funds are raised (funding is a priority outcome)
Hands-on experience in social impact development, construction, and nonprofit strategy
Access to a growing network of leaders, funders, developers, and creatives
A rare chance to shape a meaningful, physical legacy for underserved young people

You Should Apply If You:
Have a background in project management, construction, sport facility planning, fundraising, or community partnerships
Are self-driven, consistent, and ready to own your role, not just support it
Understand that volunteering with purpose can be a step into lasting leadership
Want to be part of something that will exist for decades
Are ready to commit time, energy, and ideas to make this happen — not just talk about it

This Role Is NOT For You If:
You're looking for a low-effort volunteer line on your CV
You struggle with follow-through or regular communication
You aren’t motivated by legacy, team ownership, or collective outcomes
Time Commitment
We offer flexibility and respect your other commitments, but we require:

Consistent weekly input (remote work + team check-ins)
Active contribution to your role and deliverables
Sunday All-Staff Zoom Meeting – 8 PM (Required)
Occasional in-person site visits or partnership meetings in London preferred

Big projects need big people.
If you're hungry to build something historic, not for the credit, but for the community, we want you on this team.

How to apply
How to Apply To apply, send: A short CV A brief cover note (300 words max) explaining which role you’re interested in, and what you’d bring to the team 📧 Email: admin@casualballerz.com ⏳ Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Start date: ASAP.
