Scholarship (U16) Physiotherapist / Sports Rehabilitator / Sports Therapist Organisation Castleford Tigers Salary Sessional Location Castleford, West Yorkshire Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 13 February 2026 Job Description THE ROLECastleford Tigers RLFC are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Scholarship Physio / Sports Therapist / Sports Rehabilitator to deliver a physiotherapy provision to your Scholarship ProgrammeThis is a key role within our medical department, supporting the health, development, and performance of our scholarship athletes. The successful applicant will work within a supportive governance structure and alongside senior medical staff, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement across the wider club.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for Scholarship players.- Deliver pitch-side trauma and match-day cover for Scholarship fixtures- Keep accurate, contemporaneous medical records and contribute to injury surveillance.- Communicate effectively with coaches, performance staff, players, and families.- Support the First Team medical staff where required.Working hours are predominantly Monday and Wednesday evenings, and some Friday evenings. There is some potential occasional weekend work required depending on fixtures.ESSENTIAL CRITERIARelevant professional qualification: - Physiotherapist: HCPC & CSP registered - Sports Therapist: Society of Sports Therapists registered - Sports Rehabilitator: BASRaT registered- Minimum 1 year post-graduate experience OR student placements in sports teams- Level 2 pitch-side trauma qualification (IMMOFP, PHICIS L3, or equivalent) or willingness to complete as soon as possible- Eligible to work in the UK- Full UK driving licence- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to cover training and fixturesDESIRABLE CRITERA- Previous experience in elite sport or elite rugby.- Experience working with youth athletes.- NHS experience.
