Fleet and Facilities Co-ordinator Organisation Cambridge University Boat Club Salary £27-29k per annum Location Cambridge and Ely Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 8 July 2025 Job Description Cambridge University Boat Club (CUBC) is looking to appoint a Fleet and Facilities Co-ordinator. This is a new role supporting the Head Coaches and Head of Operations with the day-to-day rowing operations of the Club, to ensure that the Club’s fleet and rowing facilities at the Ely Boathouse (water training) and Goldie Boathouse (land training) in Cambridge are in the condition required by a world-leading university rowing club. As an essential part of a small team this role requires energy, enthusiasm and flexibility to support our operations and training. This is not a coaching role, but we want you to be a full part of the club and the crews, on and off the water. You will be involved in problem solving and strategy to continue to grow and develop our club over as we approach the centenary and bicentenary of our women’s and men’s squads. CUBC is independent of the University and operates a year-round rowing programme with a focus on its student-athletes preparing for the annual Boat Races with Oxford in the Spring and competing at the highest level year-round.Main Duties and Responsibilities • Facilitating the maintenance and repair of the CUBC fleet of vehicles, boats, launches and training equipment.• Coordinating the facilities at both boathouses to ensure they are appropriately stocked, maintained and controlled to enable a world-class training programme. • Facilitating camp and competition logistics to ensure that our crews are ready to train and compete.• Communicating with visiting crews to arrange training camps at our Ely boathouse.• Working with the university to maintain health and safety, fire safety, water safety checks and compliance for the club.• Supporting the coaches, athletes, club staff and volunteers as required throughout the year.Job requirementsEssential• Clean B+E driving licence.• Ability to work flexibly as part of a small team• Knowledge of rowingDesirable• Demonstrated proficiency in boat and equipment maintenance• RYA Level 2 Powerboat Licence• D1 driving licence How to apply Please send your CV and covering letter to recruitment@cubc.org.uk.
