The Role
To deliver Premier League Primary Stars, Physical Education in Primary Schools to a wide range of local schools and participants, in line with the Education and Charity strategic vision.

Roles and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery & School Engagement
• Deliver Premier League Primary Stars sessions within a designated cohort of schools and support the delivery of one-off events and short-term programmes.
• Coordinate curriculum areas of the Premier League Primary Stars programme.
• Drive and coordinate Premier League Primary Stars curriculum programmes in schools, undertake relevant training, and feedback learning to the education team.
• Support the delivery and development of national awareness initiatives including World Book Day, Black History Month, Anti-Bullying Week, Power of Youth (#iwill Week), and World Poetry Day.
• Ensure meticulous planning is completed prior to all sessions, considering the individual needs and requirements of participants.

Teaching, Coaching & Educational Delivery
• Deliver high-quality sessions to participants of varying abilities, needs and backgrounds across a range of settings, including:
o National Curriculum Physical Education
o Extra-Curricular Activities
o Soccer Schools and Holiday Camps
o Whole School Assemblies
o Recreational Sport Sessions
o Educational Workshops (Literacy, Numeracy and PSHE)
• Continuously evaluate and improve the quality and impact of session delivery through reflection and analysis.
• Ensure all participants and stakeholders are safe and supported before, during and after every session.

Business Development & Partnership Working
• Develop and implement strategies to recruit new schools to engage with the Premier League Primary Stars programme.
• Drive additional income generation by encouraging schools to participate in wider Premier League Primary Stars opportunities.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local organisations, including School Sports Partnerships, to enhance programme delivery and impact.
• Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, positive and proactive manner.

Programme Development & Quality Assurance
• Support the Education Manager in the ongoing development and review of the Burnley FC in the Community Premier League Primary Stars curriculum.
• Support the Education Manager in quality assuring Premier League Primary Stars delivery across programmes.
• Liaise with the Education Manager to monitor programme performance against agreed targets and objectives.
• Contribute to the development of innovative and effective programme delivery methods that maximise participant engagement and outcomes.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
• Take an active role in monitoring and evaluation processes to evidence programme impact and outcomes for key funders and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate registers and participant records using systems such as Salesforce.
• Monitor delivery against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
• Assist the Education Manager in the preparation of bi-annual Premier League reporting requirements.

Stakeholder Communication & Representation
• Act as a secondary point of contact for the Premier League Charitable Fund School Programmes Executive.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with schools, partners and stakeholders.
• Represent Burnley FC in the Community professionally at meetings, events and programme activities.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives and organisational activities where required.

General
• To understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.
• To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.
• To work towards agreed objectives.
• Comply with all Charity policies.
• Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.
• Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organisation as and when required to promote best practice.
• Hold a commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace.
• Willingness to attend training courses to enhance own professional development.
• Always demonstrate the Charity’s values.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• NGB Level 2 Certificate in any sports.
• Level 1 or 2 Sports Coaching Award in a second, or multiple sports.
• Level 3 Certificate in Supporting PE and School Sport (AfPE) OR similar.
• L3/4 HLTA with PE Specialism or equivalent.
• Full driving license and the use of a vehicle.
• Safeguarding.
• First Aid.
• Five GCSEs at grade C or above.
• Relevant training for working with young people.
• A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work.
• Experience of working on football/sport-based projects.
• Experience of working in a school setting.
• A passion for sport and the community.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to monitor, evaluate and assess project performance.
• Excellent IT skills, including intermediate abilities in all MS Office programmes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
