Come and be part of our story!The RoleThe Physio/Sports Therapist supports the organisation and implementation of treatment and rehabilitation programmes and protocols for players on a range of Football Development projects. This role includes but is not limited to providing support during pre-match preparation, pitch side (including on field assessments), post-match and any associated reporting/administration.The Physio/Sports Therapist predominantly supports the Shadow Youth Team (SYT) at Nelson & Colne College during the day, 3 times a week, under the direction of the Football Development Officer. They may support the Post 16 Girls Academy squads and a range of other Football Development projects under the direction of the Female Football Development Officer and Football Development Officer as necessary.Roles and Responsibilities• Provide evidenced based treatment & rehabilitation of injured players on the SYT, P16G and other FD projects.• Provide support on a range of Football Development match days/fixtures.• Provide effective assessment and appropriate treatment interventions for all players and providing support for diagnosis and treatment plans.• Maintain accurate records of injuries and medical interventions to include injury reporting form, remedies and treatment plans.• To understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role.
